Milford Debuts New Sportsmanship Video
In cooperation with There’s More at Stake than a Game®, the Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to release its brand new sportsmanship video. Aimed at reminding spectators that the only sportsmanship that has a place is good sportsmanship, the video will be played prior to Milford home games throughout this year. Clips of the video debuted during a Local 12 news report last week and feature several Milford student-athletes talking about the importance of being a good sport when you attend your favorite sporting event.
Milford Schools are excited to team with There’s More at Stake than a Game to actively promote positive fan behavior at youth sporting events while raising funds for athletics.
Unfortunately, inappropriate fan behavior has been on the rise nationally. Milford Schools and There’s More at Stake than a Game® are taking the initiative to address this issue head-on with a model that can be rolled out nationally to improve the athletic environment for students. Flock-Student Leaders are taking part in the initiative by helping to educate spectators of appropriate behavior. The Flock Leaders will also speak at athletic events to reinforce the initiative.
