Milford Girls Basketball To Host Game Of Hope Friday

Posted on: February 7, 2022

After a few years hiatus, the Milford High School girls basketball program is pleased to once again host the Game of Hope this Friday (February 11). The event, which features a basketball tripleheader on the court and loads of fun activities off of it, will benefit The Cure Starts Now, as well as The Ben Kimble Foundation.

Started as a remembrance of the late Lauren Hill, Milford’s Game of Hope will feature a Layup4Lauren Challenge at halftime of the varsity game, along with split the pot, a bake sale, t-shirts being sold for $10, as well as remembrance and honors ribbons for $1. The ribbons will be displayed in The Fley Center, just outside the Milford Gym.

A special thanks to Anderson and Seton High Schools for their willingness to reschedule the game after previous cancellations. The night will start with a Milford-Seton JVB contest tipping off at 4:30 pm, followed by an Eagles-Anderson junior varsity/varsity doubleheader at 6 and 7:30 pm. Fans won’t want to miss a special pre-game ceremony just prior to the varsity game getting underway. Adult tickets for the night are $7, while students will be admitted for $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance here or at the door.
