Congratulations to Milford graduate Abby Swensen ('16), a senior at Ohio Dominican, who recently was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar List.

The release from Ohio Dominican below:

Four members of Ohio Dominican women's golf were recognized as they were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar List.

Seniors Abby Swensen (Milford, Ohio) and Emma Romine (Marysville, Ohio) make the list in consecutive seasons. They are joined by sophomore Natalie Parker (Ostrander, Ohio) and freshman Alyssa Newsom (Granville, Ohio).

The WGCA announced a total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers that were recognized with this honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics as the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 required to qualify.

Ohio Dominican boasts four of the 19 G-MAC student-athlete representatives that received recognition.

Swensen earns her third career appearance on the prestigious list. She competed in all six tournaments during her senior season and led the Panthers with a scoring average of 79.5. Her top finish of the season came at the Michael Corbett Fall Invitational where she finished in fifth place with a pair of 78's.
