Milford Wrestler Kobey Bronaugh Surpasses 100 Wins

Posted on: February 19, 2018

Congratulations to Kobey Bronaugh who surpassed the 100 career win mark at the 2018 ECC Championships.  Bronaugh is just the seventh wrestler with 100 career wins, and the first to achieve this hallmark in his junior year.

On his way to another conference championship, Bronaugh passed the 100 win mark in his second match, and left the 2018 Eastern Cincinnati Conference Championship with his second ECC title and 102 total wins.  He dominated the 126 weight class by making his way through the bracket with four straight falls, each in less than a minute (0:42, 0:50, 0:18, and 0:28).  In 2017, Bronaugh won all four matches by fall as well.

The road to 100 wins included second place finishes at both the 2016 and 2017 Sectional Tournaments.  He advanced to the second day of the 2017 OHSAA District Tournament before losing in consolation rounds, finishing the season with 33 wins.  In addition, his tournament resume includes 9 tournament wins and 4 second place finishes, as well as 2 third place finishes, and one each ending in fourth and fifth place.
