Milford Wrestlers Score First Win In OHSAA Team Dual Tournament

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:   The Eagles will have a break as the regular season winds down.  Just one regular season match remains on the schedule; Milford will recognize the team’s seniors at the final home match with Little Miami on Feb. 13.

  

A LOOK BACKFebruary 2 at OHSAA Regional Duals:

Round 1:  Milford 48, Xenia 27

Milford, the #18 seed, made history as they advanced out of the first round of the OHSAA State Regional Duals for the first time by defeating #15 Xenia.

Individuals winners:

#120:  Jonah Fouts pin Vanover

#126:  Ray Clayton pin O’Bryant

#152:  Jack Ward pin Brown

#160:  Alex Price pin Maxwell

#195:  Connor Hawkins pin Breakall

Nathan Wiley and Kobey Bronaugh scored wins by forfeit.

 

Round 2:  Springboro 62, Milford 18

Advancing to the second round earned Milford a dual with Springboro’s team, who were seeded #2 behind top seed Mason. 

Individual winners:

#138:  Kobey Bronaugh pin Gentry

#285:  Hayden Harvey pin Humphrey

Jonah Fouts scored a win by forfeit.

Springboro advanced to defeat #7 Centerville before losing to #3 Harrison in the semifinals.  Harrison lost to #1 Mason who won the Regional Championship, and who will advance to the State Dual Quarterfinals.
