Mitch Mierke To Play Baseball At Thomas More College

Posted on: March 27, 2018

The Milford High School Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Class of 2018 member Mitch Mierke has committed to continue his academic and athletic career as a member of the baseball team at Thomas More College beginning next school year.

A second team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection last year, Mierke was perhaps the biggest breakthrough player on the Milford roster. As a junior, he led the Eagles’ pitching staff with six victories, while tallying a 2.14 ERA and striking out 32. One of Mierke’s two shutouts and six wins was a no-hitter against Clio (Mich.). Mierke was also a solid contributor at the plate hitting .339 and driving in 19 runs.

At Thomas More, Mierke will play for head coach Jeff Hetzer. Mitch is the son of Tom and Maria Mierke.

Mierke’s commitment brings the total number for the MHS Class of 2018 to 17. Further signee information will be shared throughout the 2017-18 academic year as it is finalized.
