Posted on: October 26, 2016

For the second consecutive season, Milford High School senior Nathan Arnold has been recognized as the Eastern Cincinnati Conference’s Boys Golfer of the Year for his play in the recently completed fall season. Arnold was joined on the All-ECC first team by classmate Aaron Wade.

Arnold put an exclamation point on his stellar prep career by leading the ECC in scoring average during the regular season, posting a 37.2 nine-hole average over 171 holes played. For the second time in the last three years, Arnold took medalist honors at the ECC Tournament, while qualifying for districts for the fourth time.

Wade also had a strong senior year, ranking as the league’s fourth-best golfer with a 38.6 average in 153 holes of action. A two-time district qualifier, Wade also won ECC Medalist honors as a junior, just edging out Arnold.

Sophomore Justin Horn was tabbed All-ECC second team after posting the league’s seventh-best average (40.5) over 171 regular season holes. He also placed ninth at the ECC Tournament. Junior Cameron Loux is Milford’s honorable mention choice for this season on the strength of a 17th place finish at the ECC’s.

Milford finished the regular season as the 2016 ECC Champions, an accomplishment they have now achieved three consecutive years.
