New Richmond Invitational ahead for Boys Track and Field

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford will head to the New Richmond Invitational this week for the second meet of the season.  The Eagles, who last week competed at the Coaches Classic, will see their relay teams compete for the first time, as relays were not included at the Classic.

 

A LOOK BACK:  The 2018 Coaches Classic was held on a cold and windy evening as the Eagles took to the track at Winton Woods High School on Fri., April 6. 

The Eagles finished the meet in 17th place.  The boys squad was led by Dillon Coleman, who took fifth place in the 400 meter dash.  Athletes placing in the top eight included: 

400 Meter Dash

  • Dillon Coleman, 5th (52.43)

1600 Meter Run

  • Harris Craycraft, 8th (4:44.72)

High Jump

  • Logan Horton, 8th place (5-08.00)

A LOOK AHEAD:  Milford will join with fourteen other schools to compete at this week’s New Richmond Invitational.  The Eagles placed fifth at the 2017 New Richmond Invite.

POLL WATCH:  Once again, Mason is at the top of the area coaches’ poll yet there were changes among the top ten.  Sycamore moved to second and St. Xavier fell to third, while the ECC’s Kings held steady in fourth.  Elder passed LaSalle for fifth, who fell to sixth and currently tied with Princeton.  Withrow fell from seventh to eighth.  For the first time this season, Milford received votes (2) in the poll, joined by Loveland (4) and Anderson (2).  Find the area coaches’ poll for week three HERE.
