Oak Hills, Loveland and Senior Night Await Boys Volleyball

SETTING THE SCENE:  Milford takes a four game win streak into an important week for the boys volleyball team.  The Eagles will first host Oak Hills, ranked #7 in the OHSBVA South Region.  That match will be followed by a trip to Loveland (#4 in OHSBVA South) with the opportunity to avenge a loss earlier in the season.  Milford will close the week celebrating seniors Brandon Anderson, Luken Dalessandro, Ben Harris, Phillip Hornsby, Peter Kroeger, Beck Nielsen, Kishan Patel, Limo Rustom, Ryan Schroeder and Justin Singleton prior to the home match with West Clermont.

 

A LOOK BACK:  The Eagles traveled to Walnut Hills for an ECC rematch on Tues., April 24, as Milford lost 3-2 in their first meeting early in the season.  Milford swept Walnut Hills for the 3-0 victory with scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-21 to even the series.

Milford ended the short week on Wed., April 25 hosting Sycamore.  The Aviators took the first set from the Eagles 20-25, but Milford rebounded to even the score with a 25-17 win in set two.  Milford collected the 3-1 win for the day by defeating Sycamore in the final two sets, 25-20 and 25-15.

 

A LOOK AHEAD:   The Eagles will host Oak Hills to start the week before a visit to ECC rival Loveland.  Milford will end the week recognizing seniors Brandon Anderson, Luken Dalessandro, Ben Harris, Phillip Hornsby, Peter Kroeger, Beck Nielsen, Kishan Patel, Limo Rustom, Ryan Schroeder and Justin Singleton prior to the match with West Clermont.

  • Tuesday, 5/1:                        Milford @ Loveland Hills High School, 6:30 pm
  • Thursday, 5/3:                       West Clermont High School @ Milford, Senior Night, 6:00 pm

 

INSIDE THE ECC:  Loveland remains atop the unofficial ECC standings, at 4-0 followed by Walnut Hills (3-2), Milford (2-2) and West Clermont (0-5). Find the unofficial ECC standings HERE.

  

POLL WATCH:  Week six of the Cincinnati Enquirer area coaches’ poll find Moeller yet again at the top of the standings, followed by St. Xavier who rose to second.  Elder fell to third from second while Alter and Lakota East remained at fourth and fifth.  The ECC’s Loveland cracked the top ten in week six, tied with Fairfield. Milford (11) and Walnut Hills (1) each received votes in week six.  Click HERE for the most recent area coaches’ poll.

Milford held at tenth in the OHSBVA’s South Region poll for week ending April 29. Moeller held at the top of the standings, followed by St. Xavier and Elder.  Loveland moved up to fourth while LaSalle fell to fifth.  Fairfield, Oak Hills, McNicholas, Mason and Milford round out the top ten.  Find the latest OHSBVA rankings HERE
