THE UPCOMING DOCKET: The Eagles travel to Beavercreek this weekend for the 2019 OHSAA Regional Duals. Milford will face Xenia in the opening round; the winning team will then take on Springboro, who has a bye in round one. The dual scheduled at Turpin for Thurs., Jan. 31 has been cancelled due to weather and cold temperatures.

It was an exciting night on the mats, as the Milford victory came down to the final match of the night. With a 38-35 lead, Kobey Bronaugh won with a 7-2 decision to secure the win for the Eagles.

January 26 at Milford Invitational: Milford: 5th of 18
Milford finished the day 5th of 18 teams competing at the Milford Invitational Tournament. Though the Eagles were down just 1 point from third place entering the final round, a good day of wrestling resulted in the fifth-place finish which was an improvement from 2018 when the Eagles finished eleventh.

With 230.5 points, Lakota East took the MIT Championship, followed by the ECC’s West Clermont (218), Monroe (169), Middletown (159), and Milford (149) as the top five. ECC teams competing included Anderson (11th - 73.5), Kings (13th - 35), Turpin (14th - 34), and Withrow (17th – 17).
