Ostrander, Hansen Tabbed All-ECC Girls Tennis
During a season that saw a resurgence in Milford’s girls tennis program, a pair of Eagles have been recognized with All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference honors after a recent vote by the league’s coaches. Congratulations to junior Elise Ostrander for earning first team honors and sophomore Annika Hansen for being named honorable mention.
Ostrander played No. 1 singles all season for the Eagles and came up just short of qualifying for the OHSAA District Tournament after stellar play during Sectionals. Playing against the top players in the league, Ostrander also finished runner-up at the ECC Tournament and took second at the GCTCA Coaches Classic. Her final regular season record was 10-1.
Hansen was a doubles specialist for the Eagles and teamed with Arian Carranza to take second place at both the ECC Tournament and Coaches Classic. Playing with a variety of partners, Hansen finished with an 8-2 record in doubles play.
