ECC All-Conference:  Two Milford tennis team members were selected for Eastern Cincinnati Conference All-Conference honors.  Holden Owens received second team honors, while Ben Mason was selected for honorable mention.

Senior Holden Owens was named second team All-ECC for the 2018 season. Owens advanced to the OHSAA Division I District Tournament after a fourth place finish at the Sectional Tournament.  He ended an impressive season and high school career at Districts after a loss in the first round.  For the second consecutive year Owens received recognition from the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches’ Association.  Owens received a 2018 GCTCA Division I Distinguished Player Award, while in 2017 he received the Most Improved Player Award.

Owens played first singles for Milford for each of the last three years, concluding his senior year with a 13-8 overall record. He received second team All-ECC recognition in 2017, and honorable mention in both 2015 and 2016.  He will continue his tennis career at Allegheny College.

Ben Mason, also a senior, ended his MHS tennis career as an all-conference honorable mention recipient, an award he received in 2017 as well.  Mason claimed first place at second singles, helping the Eagles win the Flight C Team Championship at the GCTCA Coaches Classic. He finished fourth at the ECC Championships, and an overall record of 10-9.

Grant Wendel of Turpin Athlete of the Year was selected as the ECC Athlete of the Year, an honor he received for all four years of his high school tennis career.  His coach, Kate Rodgers, received Coach of the Year honors for the fifth consecutive year.
