Regional Track Championships Ahead for Armstrong, Sager
A LOOK AHEAD AT REGIONAL MEET: Milford’s Andrea Armstrong and Emmy Sager will be competing at the upcoming OHSAA Division I Regional Championships this week.
Both qualified at last week’s OHSAA District Championships, where the top four finishers qualified to advance to Regionals. Armstrong claimed the individual title in the 400 meter run to advance, and will compete in the 200 meter dash and long jump as well after 4th place finishes. Sager, who moves on after a 4th place finish as well, will do so with another school record in the 3200 meter run. The new record now stands at 11:08.44, as she bested her own record of 11:13.95 that she set at the 2019 ECC Championships.
The Regional Championships will be held at Wayne High School in Huber Heights. Participants will be made up of qualifiers from Districts at the Mason, Piqua, Hamilton Ross and Bellbrook sites.
Wednesday, May 22: Regional Prelims - 5:00 pm field events; 6:30 pm track events
Friday, May 24: Regional Finals - 5:00 pm field events; 6:30 pm track events
