By placing 23rd of 136 runners at the OHSAA Division I Regional Cross Country Meet, freshman Emmy Sager is headed for the State Championship Race.

Sager’s time of 19:07, a new career record, placed her in the top twenty-four and earned her a trip to the 2018 OHSAA Division I State Cross Country Championships.  The top six teams and top twenty-four individuals qualified to move on, and will compete on Sat., Nov. 10 at National Trail Raceway located in Hebron, outside of Columbus.

Two teams and two individuals from the Eastern Cincinnati Conference will join Sager in Hebron. The teams from Turpin (4th) and Kings (6th) qualified, while Maddie Walker (4th) from West Clermont and Jessie Gibbins (22nd) from Loveland join Sager as individual qualifiers.

Sager is just one of 36 individuals not with a team who qualified to advance.  Look for more information on the State Meet later in the week!
