Senior Night, Kings Ahead For Girls Bowling Team
SETTING THE SCENE: As the regular season winds down, the #6 Lady Eagles have an opportunity to win at least a share of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference title. Just two final conference matches remain, and only Kings High School stands in the way of an historic season for Milford. Adding to the excitement, the Eagles will celebrate two veteran team members – Alyna Hook and Lauren Shelton - on Senior Night this week.
A LOOK BACK: The first of two wins over Walnut Hills took place at home, as Alyna Hook and MacKenzie Mason led the Eagles to a 2141-1686 victory. Hook rolled a 186 in game one with a high series of 353, while Mason followed with a 345 series. Wednesday’s win was capped as Megan Cannon added a 296 series, and Lauren Shelton a series of 288.
The Eagles of Milford collected their ninth conference triumph on Thurs., 1/26 by defeating Walnut Hills 2075-1707 at Madison Bowl. Mason once helped steer Milford with the Eagles’ high series of 311, while Hook scored an even 200 in game two. Jessica Norman (274), Shelton (265), and Cannon (263) showed the Eagles’ consistency, their two game scores within 11 pins of each other.
A LOOK AHEAD: The Eagles will face Kings, their final ECC opponent this week, as the regular season winds down. With two victories, Milford will secure at least a share of the ECC title; a first for the Eagles in school history. In addition, Milford will recognize seniors Alyna Hook and Lauren Shelton at the final home match of the season on Wed., 2/1 at 3:00 pm.

Wednesday, 2/1: Milford @ Walnut Hills High School, Madison Bowl, 3:30 pm
INSIDE THE ECC: Milford currently leads the ECC at 9-1, while Glen Este follows at 7-1. Anderson improved to 6-2, still followed by Turpin (4-5), Kings (2-6), and at 1-7, Loveland. With two losses to Milford last week, Walnut Hills feel to 0-7.
The Eagles are ranked second in the conference for team regular average at 789.2. MacKenzie Mason joins Haines, Hook, Norman and Shelton as Eagles listed among the top ten in individual categories of the ECC.

POLL WATCH: The Lady Eagles remain in the top ten, though they fell to eight from sixth in the Cincinnati Enquirer’s area coaches’ poll for week ten. Seton takes over the top spot this week, followed by Fairfield and the ECC’s Glen Este, who last week occupied first. Oak Hills and Northwest round out the top five in week ten. Anderson (6) and Turpin (1) again received votes this week, as well.
