Posted on: April 5, 2021

April 5 at Milford: Milford 6, West Clermont 4

GAME REWIND
Run-scoring doubles by Brooklyn Stewart and Meghan Stulz in the fifth inning snapped a four-all tie and pushed Milford to an important 6-4 ECC win over West Clermont. The Stewart-Stulz duo put the Eagles in front to stay after a back-and-forth early going. Emily Allphin was the star late as she came in to pitch with the bases loaded and no one out in the sixth to pick up her third save of the season.

The Wolves led off the game with a home run to stake an early lead but the score was tied at the end of the first after a Taylor Stemmerding RBI single plated Olivia Craycraft who led off with a triple. The Eagles put two more on the board in the second on a Kaitlyn Bibb single to take a 3-1 lead.

West Clermont would push three across in the top of the third to take a 4-3 edge, the last time the visitors would lead. Stulz drew a bases loaded walk in the third to tie the game again, setting the stage for the deciding fifth inning.
