May 11 at Lebanon: Lebanon 13, Milford 3

GAME REWIND
Playing for a chance to earn a share of the ECC Championship, Lebanon rocked Milford with an offensive explosion as the Warriors handed the Eagles a 13-3 defeat. With the score knotted at three and a good finish brewing, Lebanon plated nine runs in the fourth inning to run away from the Eagles.

Lebanon struck first, getting a pair in the first to take an early lead. Milford charged back in the second, with a two-run homer by Sam Boothby highlighting a three-run inning. But it was all Warriors from there as they scored one in the third, nine in the fourth and another in in the fifth to bring the game to an early conclusion.

May 12 at Milford: Wilmington 7, Milford 4

GAME REWIND
An outstanding season came to a stunning and early conclusion as the second-seeded Eagles were upset by No. 21 Wilmington, 7-4 in the second round of the OHSAA Tournament. The Eagles led throughout until a Hurricane blew through Milford as Wilmington scored six times in the sixth inning to pull out the improbable victory.

A Sam Boothby double in the second got Milford on the board. The Eagles added two more in the frame on a Mollie Bloom single and a Kaitlyn Bibb sac fly.

Wilmington was able to cut its deficit to 3-1 in the fifth, but really went to work in the sixth to stun the home team. Milford’s last run of the game and season on a Meghan Stulz RBI single. But in its last two at-bats, the Eagles left two runners on base each time as its rally stalled.
