SETTING THE SCENE: Following a cancellation last week, the Milford High School boys soccer team faces a challenging week ahead with three matches on the docket. The Eagles will take a 6-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 Eastern Cincinnati Conference mark into a stretch that begins with a rescheduled home game on Tuesday against Withrow. On Thursday, its another ECC contest, this time at Anderson, before the week wraps up with a Saturday matinee at home against Roger Bacon.

POLL WATCH: The Eagles slipped one spot in the Cincinnati Enquirer Division I area coaches’ poll, coming in ninth in the Oct. 1 rankings. Moeller was awarded all 19 first place votes, with St. Xavier, the ECC duo of Turpin and Anderson, along with Mason wrapping up the top-five. The ECC is also represented by Loveland in sixth and Walnut Hills and Kings each receiving votes. The coaches’ poll is released every Monday at Noon at preps.cincinnati.com/coachespolls.
ROUND, BURNETT WIN ENQUIRER AWARDS: Junior Joey Round and Noah Burnett, thanks to the support of Eagle Nation, have each been voted the winner of the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Boys Soccer Player of the Week Award this season. Round won his award on Sept. 7, while Burnett was honored on Sept. 14.
