Trips to Finneytown, Turpin Await Boys Bowling

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  With just three matches left before the post-season begins, Milford will see a non-conference meeting with Finneytown and the first of two with Turpin in the week ahead.  The regular season will come to a close next week, as Milford celebrates senior day when they host their final home match.

Monday, Feb. 4:                  Milford at Finneytown High School, Brentwood Bowl, 3:45 pm

Wednesday, Feb. 6:            Milford at Turpin High School, Cherry Grove Lanes, 3:45 pm

 

A LOOK BACK:

January 29 at Milford:  Milford 2335, Walnut Hills 2151

Franklin Abt’s 419 series guided the Eagles to an ECC win over Walnut Hills, and A.J. Kaylor’s 388 series was helped by a 255 in game two.  Kyle Fanning set a new personal season best series of 381, while Nick Murphy added a 312 series.

January 31 at Milford:  Milford 2454, Walnut Hills 2398

Six Eagles saw action in Milford’s second win over Walnut Hills to complete the sweep.  Abt (371) and Murphy (330) each rolled two games while four Eagles added single games; Kaylor (213), Nathan Hawkins (211), Fanning (162) and Nate Fiest (160).

 

A LOOK INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  Wins over Anderson moved West Clermont to 9-0, while Kings (7-2) and Loveland (7-3) are still in the hunt. Milford improved to 6-4 and are followed by Anderson (2-8) Walnut Hills (2-9) and Turpin (1-8).

West Clermont’s team average of 969.3 leads the leagues.  Milford (895.4), Loveland (866.9), Kings (854.4) and Anderson (842.8) round out the top five.

A look at Milford’s individual statistical leaders in the ECC as of Feb. 3:

Average: Hawkins (2nd – 203.2); Abt (9th – 188.4); Kaylor (10th – 187.4)

High Game: Hawkins (6th – 257); Abt (t-7th – 256); Kaylor (t-7th – 256)

Series High: Hawkins (1st – 506); Abt (4th – 476); Kaylor (t-6th – 464)
