Turpin, Walnut Hills Await Boys Tennis

SETTING THE SCENE:   Conference play begins in the week ahead for the boys tennis team, and they face the two top teams from 2017.  The Eagles open the week hosting Turpin, last season’s conference champions.  After a nonconference meeting with Fairfield, Milford then heads to Walnut Hills for a meeting with Walnut Hills.

  

A LOOK BACK:   Despite the wet weather, the Eagles were able to play their first match, opening the season at home with Centerville High School B.  The Eagles fell to the Elks, 4-1. 

  

A LOOK AHEAD:  The Eagles dive into conference play in the week ahead, as they begin with #4 Turpin and end the week with a visit to #5 Walnut Hills.

  • Tuesday, 4/3:               Turpin High School @ Milford, 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, 4/4:          Fairfield High School @ Milford, 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, 4/5:             Milford @ Walnut Hills High School, 4:00 pm

 

POLL WATCH:  Milford’s boys tennis team has cracked the top ten in the area coaches’ poll for week two.  Milford enters the poll at ninth, tied with Lakota West. Mason remained on top, however Sycamore fell to third and was replaced by St. Xavier. The ECC’s Turpin held onto fourth, Anderson moved up from eighth to fifth, and Loveland sits alone in sixth.
