Week Ahead For Boys Volleyball Includes Final Conference Match of Season

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  The Eagles will be in action early in the week, then have a breather before they head into the final week of the regular season.  Milford hosts Taylor High School for the first of two scheduled dates this month, followed by a trip to West Clermont for the final ECC match of the year.                                    

Monday, May 6:                     Taylor High School at Milford, 6:00 pm

Tuesday, May 7:                    Milford at West Clermont High School, 6:00 pm

 

A LOOK BACK:

April 30 at Milford:  Loveland 3, Milford 1

Though the Eagles picked up the first set 27-25, the Tigers pulled out the victory winning the next three sets 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.

 

May 1 at Princeton:  Milford 3, Princeton 0

The Eagles defeated the Vikings in straight sets of 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

 

May 4 at Hamilton/Roger Bacon Tri-Match

The Eagles split the tri-match, held at Hamilton High School.  Milford defeated Roger Bacon 2-1, but fell to Hamilton 0-2.  Individual game scores will be updated soon; check back for updates.

 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  Milford improved to 8-6 overall and 2-3 in ECC play.  Walnut Hills is 11-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in conference play, while Loveland is now 11-4 and 3-2.  West Clermont fell to an overall record of 4-9, and 0-4 in the ECC.

Last week’s Poll:  Milford has once again entered the poll, now in tenth for the week ending April 28. St. Xavier, Moeller and Elder once again maintained the top three positions; Mason rose to fourth from sixth, with LaSalle held at fifth.  Loveland, ranked tenth last week vaulted to sixth, and Badin fell to seventh from fourth.  Fairfield, Oak Hills and Milford round out the top ten.
