Week Ahead for Boys Volleyball Includes Walnut Hills, Fairfield at Home

THE UPCOMING DOCKET:  The week ahead finds Milford hosting Walnut Hills and Fairfield.  Winners of the last two contests, the Eagles will look to continue the streak especially when they face Walnut Hills, currently 7-1 overall and 3-0 in ECC play.  Milford, who fell to Walnut Hills earlier in the season, will have the opportunity to avenge the loss while handing the ECC rival a conference loss.   

Tuesday, April 23:                 Walnut Hills High School at Milford, 6:45 pm

Wednesday, April 24:            Fairfield High School at Milford at, 6:45 pm

  

A LOOK BACK:

April 16 at Milford:  Milford 3, West Clermont 0

The Eagles hosted the Wolves of the ECC, a program the continues to improve.  Nonetheless, Milford defeated West Clermont in straight sets; 25-21, 25-16, 25-7.

 

April 17 at Sycamore:  Milford 3, Sycamore 2

Though Milford lost a close 5 game match to #9 Sycamore in the season opener, the Eagles evened the series in another thriller.  Initially down 0-2, the Eagles mounted a comeback to take the match once again in 5 games; 22-25, 17-25, 27-25, 25-22, 15-11.

 

April 18: The Eagles were scheduled to host Taylor High School, but the date will be rescheduled.

  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:  With two more victories in the win column, the Eagles improve to 5-3 overall, and 2-1 among ECC programs.  

 

POLL WATCH: There were a number of changes in the top ten of the OHSBVA South Region poll for 4/12.  St. Xavier, Moeller and Elder maintained as the top three but LaSalle fell to fifth, replaced at fourth by Badin. Mason rose to sixth from eighth, while Oak Hills fell from fifth to seventh.  Fairfield, Sycamore and Loveland round out the top ten. Once again despite defeating a ranked team, this time #9 Sycamore, the Eagles have yet to get back into the top ten.
