Posted on: August 31, 2022

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Cam Livingston and Jacob Smith
Milford Football
Seniors Cam Livingston and Jacob Smith were stars among stars in Milford's wild 42-39 win over Lebanon. Cam hauled in three TD passes, including the game-winner with just under a minute left to play. All three of his catches on the night were for scores as he finished with 86 receiving yards. Jacob had a dynamic all-around performance returning both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown, while also grabbing a game-preserving interception on the game's final play. For the night, Jacob finished with 232 total return yards, along with 10 tackles and the interception.

Ava Hassert and Lindsey Taylor
Milford Soccer
Ava, a senior, has been an important piece of our puzzle in every game we've played this season. She leads by her words and she leads by her play. The team heavily relies on her leadership and our success would not be possible without her! Lindsey, also a senior, has blossomed into one of our strongest defenders. She has gotten better every single game this season and has held our team together. She is a significant piece to our success and continues to impress us every time she's on the field.

Jeremiah Feist and Sam Crawford
Milford Soccer
In back to back games, the two senior goalkeepers for Milford, Jeremiah Feist and Sam Crawford, shared shutouts against Lebanon and Princeton. Additionally, they only conceded one goal in a 4-1 victory over Oak Hills. Both made great saves and exhibited leadership moments.

Lilly Braun
Sophomore, Milford Cross Country
With one of our top runners out this week, Lilly really stepped up with a strong performance to help the team to a solid finish at Lakota. Lilly also set a new career PR at the meet and looks to be a varsity contributor all season.

Milford Volleyball Trio
Milford Volleyball
Avery Fielman, Olivia Lemle, and Hannah Daniels, Milford's trio of senior defensive specialists, all had outstanding contributions this past week in two conference matches against Lebanon and Kings. Avery contributed 37 of the trio's 58 digs. Olivia and Hannah racked up the group's 10 aces. And altogether, the group's serve receive average was 2.09. Tough defense and consistent ball control make these three a very important part of Milford's team effort!

Charlie Vause
Sophomore, Milford Cross Country
Charlie finished second in the Lakota East Fall Classic on Saturday. Charlie covered the 5k course at Voice of America Park in a time of 16:03.40. By virtue of his second-place finish Charlie, led his team to a third-place finish overall.
