Week Of February 22 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Hayden Harvey
Milford - Senior
Wrestling
Hayden won the ECC tournament at the 285 lb. weight class and was 2-0 with two pins, including a 32-second pin in the finals.
Sophie Cooper
Milford - Senior
Diving
Sophie capped an amazing high school career for the Lady Eagles by finishing ninth of 24 divers at the OHSAA Southwest District Championships. In the 11-dive meet, Sophie recorded a score of 388.65. She'll continue her career next year at Ohio University.
Erin Fentress
Milford - Sophomore
Swimming
For the second consecutive season, Erin will represent Milford at the OHSAA State Championships after she qualified in the 50 freestyle. At the District Championships, Erin finished third, narrowly missing her own school record with a mark of 23.83. She'll enter this week's State meet seeded 11th.

The Eagles' foursome of Evan Fentress, Owen Ferrara, Paul Menker, and Nick Welty have qualified for the OHSAA State Championships in both the 400 freestyle and 200 medley relay events. At Districts, the Eagles finished seventh in the freestyle relay (3:15.07), while placing ninth in the medley (1:38.88). They'll head to Canton seeded 22nd and 24th respectively.
Ryan Lemley

Bowling
Ryan bowled very well in the Sectionals. He led the team with scores of 200, 133, and 190 (523 series). Ryan has worked hard this season and is looking forward to next season.
