Week Of January 24 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Ryan Lemley
Sophomore, Milford Bowling
Ryan continued his great bowling against Kings and Little Miami with series of 394 and 455 for a 212 average.
Drake Schaff
Sophomore, Milford Swimming
Drake established new season-best times in helping the Eagles to a fourth-place finish at the ECC Championships. He took part in the 200 freestyle where he swam a time of 2:21.50, which was 12 seconds under his seed time. He then moved on to the 100 backstroke where he stopped the clocks at 1:13.37, four seconds below his seed time.
Shelby Sullivan
Junior, Milford Bowling
Shelby helped lead the girls with wins this week over Kings and Little Miami with a 183.5 average. Shelby also shot the team season-high game of 262.
Nathan Wiley
Senior, Milford Wrestling
Nathan, at 113 lbs., had a total of five wins, three by pin in both the team dual with Little Miami and the Loveland Dual tournament. His wins were critical in the team's overall 4-2 dual record during the week.
Lily Wright
Sophomore, Milford Swimming
Lilly was busy during the ECC Championships, swimming four events to help Milford finish fifth in the team standings. Her best performance came in the 500 freestyle, where she finished ninth, going six seconds under her seed time at 5:41.77. She finished in the top half of the 100 breaststroke field with a time of 1:20.26 and also swam a leg on both the 400 freestyle and 200 medley relay squads.
