Week Of January 25 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Anthony (A.J.) Kaylor
Milford - Senior
Bowling
A.J. led his team in the match against West Clermont with scores of 194 and 243 for a 437 series. A.J. has been averaging over 200 per week in 12 of the 14 weeks this season. What a accomplishment!
Shelby Sullivan
Milford - Sophomore
Bowling
Shelby shot a 176+168 against West Clermont for a 344 series, giving her a a nice average of 172 for the week. Her conference average (144.8) keeps creeping up and has landed her in the top 20 in the conference as only a sophomore.
Chad Robinson
Milford - Sophomore
Wrestling
The sophomore was 2-0 with a pin at 132 lbs. in the team's tri-match against Blanchester and Badin.
Jack McKenney
Milford - Senior
Swimming
After taking the last two seasons off to focus on football, Jack returned to the pool this year for the Eagles. In addition to providing experience and senior leadership, Jack has been a solid contributor this winter. At the ECC Championships, Jack swam lead-off leg for the 200 freestyle relay which finished fifth overall. He also placed in the top-20 in his two individual events, the 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke.
Madelyn Payne
Milford - Senior
Swimming
Madelyn was a member of two top performing relay squads at the recent ECC Championships. She swam anchor leg on the fifth place finishing 200 medley relay and was the number two swimmer on the 200 freestyle relay that finished sixth. Individually, Madelyn took 12th overall in the 50 freestyle.
