Week Of March 1 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Erin Fentress
Milford - Sophomore
Swimming
Erin made her second trip to the OHSAA State Championships in Canton a good one as she finished 12th at the 50 freestyle in a time of 24.02 seconds. She narrowly missed a top-10 finish by just one-tenth of a second and improved on her 21st place finish in the event at State last year.
Evan Fentress
Milford - Junior
Swimming
Evan competed in two individual events and two relays at the OHSAA State Championships, earning a best finish of sixth in the 100 butterfly (49.76) and missing a podium position by just one second. He also placed 11th in the 200 freestyle, bettering his team record time of 1:41.93. Evan finished out the day by swimming the lead-off leg for the Eagles' 400 freestyle and 200 medley relays that placed 22nd and 23rd respectively.
