Week Of September 16 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Posted on: September 18, 2019

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Kate Lane
Milford - Senior
Cross Country
Kate had a great all-around day at the Milford Invitational on Saturday. Knowing that coaches could not be as involved for the home invitational, Kate took charge of the team and did a great job of preparing everyone to race. On top of this, Kate ran a new career PR herself. Great job Kate!

Abi Loux
Milford - Sophomore
Abi garnered three medalist honors for the week. She also holed out for eagle from 65 yards out on number 9 at Little Miami.

Carolyn Marks
Milford - Freshman
Water Polo
As the center defender for the girls' team, Carolyn helped the team defeat Worthington CD 14-4. Carolyn had two steals, four goals, and three assists. She even played in the goal for one period. Way to go, Carolyn!

Emily Morgan
Milford - Sophomore
The Eagles had three big wins this past week over Loveland, Walnut Hills, and Little Miami. Emily contributed 56 digs, four aces, averaged a 2.20 serve receive, and had 17 assists over the three matches.

Jake Sherwood
Milford - Junior
Cross Country
In his first season running cross country, Jake cut his PR down to 18:06 at the Milford Invitational on Saturday. Jake's 42nd place finish helped Milford finish eighth out of 20 teams at its home meet. Jake has moved into the second spot on the team in his last two races. Way to go, Jake!

Max Ward
Milford - Senior
Max was the spark plug that helped Milford to a convincing 47-13 win over Loveland as he scored three first half touchdowns, all on passes from Hunter Johnson. Max finished the game with 102 yards on the three catches, the first three scores of his career. He also had a 22-yard punt return and four tackles and a pass breakup on defense.
