Week Of September 21 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Austin Hardin
Milford - Sophomore
Football
Making his first-ever varsity start against a tough Winton Woods team, Austin Hardin was solid at QB for the Eagles. For the game, he completed 20 of 33 passes for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Chad Lynn
Milford – Senior
Cross Country
Chad Lynn turned in a season-best time at Milford’s Invitational with a mark of 18:18 to finish fourth among Eagle runners and 48th overall in a large field. Chad’s efforts helped Milford finish eighth as a team in a meet that featured 18 teams.

Nick Haskins
Milford – Sophomore
Soccer
Just a sophomore, Nick Haskins has been instrumental in helping the Eagles, defending OHSAA Regional Runners-Up, to a 6-2-1 start. He enters the week tied for first place in the ECC with six assists, while adding three goals for Milford.

Cameron Manning
Milford – Sophomore
Golf
Cameron Manning has enjoyed a solid sophomore season during his second year as a member of the Eagles’ varsity squad. She enters the week just outside the top-15 in the ECC with a 47.1 scoring average and finished in a tie for 17th at last week’s ECC Tournament.

Cole Watson
Milford – Senior
Golf
A three-year varsity player for the Eagles, Cole Watson entered the week on pace for a career year. His average of 40.3 is a career-best to date. He recently was Milford’s medalist with a round of 38 in a quad meet against Elder, Mason and Anderson.

Kylie Clifton
Milford – Senior
Soccer
Kylie Clifton is building on a junior season that saw her earn second team All-ECC honors and is again one of the league’s top goalkeepers this year. In helping Milford to a 5-2 start entering the week, Kylie has yielded just nine goals, while recording 29 saves, including a huge stop in the final minutes of Milford’s recent win over Madeira.

Jasmin Mu
Milford – Freshman
Tennis
Freshman Jasmin Mu has made an immediate impact on the Milford line-up, helping the Eagles to one of the best season’s the program has enjoyed in several years. Jasmin has held the No. 2 singles slot in Milford’s line-up all season, beginning the week with a record of 8-2 overall and 4-2 against ECC teams. She also was part of a victory in her one doubles contest.

Abby Verderber
Milford - Junior
Cross Country
After battling injuries for the past season and a half, Abby completed her first 5k this past weekend at the Milford Invitational. It was great having Abby out competing with the team, and we look for continued success for her moving forward.

Emily Morgan
Milford - Junior
Volleyball
Last week, Emily, a junior libero, accumulated 57 digs and six aces while serve receiving a 2.36 in three matches. Emily's consistent passing and scrappy defense are foundational for the team's success. Great job, Emily!
