Week Of September 5 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Andrew Littrell and Natwan Webster
Milford Football
Andrew Littrell and Natwan Webster were leaders in Milford's Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown victory over rival Loveland. Andrew, a junior linebacker, finished the night with nine tackles (eight solo), including 2.5 for loss and put a jarring hit on a Loveland ball carrier to force a fumble. Natwan, a senior running back, was chosen Mercy Health Player of the Game after scoring four touchdowns. For the game, Natwan rushed for 39 yards and three touchdowns, while catching four passes for 44 yards and a fourth score.

Claire McFarland
Sophomore, Milford Cross Country
Claire’s 22nd-place finish at the Lebanon Invitational on Saturday helped to lead the team to a sixth-place overall finish at a very competitive meet.

Kelsey McKenney
Junior, Milford Volleyball
In last week's three matches, junior middle blocker Kelsey McKenney contributed 23 kills and seven blocks. She is always working to improve and is a great example for her teammates.

Matt Smith
Sophomore, Milford Soccer
Matt scored the third and decisive goal in a match against Kings after assisting the first goal of the game.

Charlie Vause
Sophomore, Milford Cross Country
Charlie bested a field of 422 runners to win the Running Warrior Invitational, hosted by Lebanon. His time of 16:35.9 was exactly one second ahead of the second-place finisher. With the win, Charlie earned his second straight top-two finish this season and was the first victory of his short career.
