Weeks Of August 9-30 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. This week we honor recipients nominated by their coaches during the pre-season and first two weeks of competition. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Freshmen Claire McFarland and Mahima Vasa and junior Sarah McFarland each achieved perfect attendance for all of our summer workouts. Their hard work over the summer looks to pay off with some outstanding performances during the season.

Shout out to the Milford girls golf team for capturing the ECC Preseason tournament: seniors Abi Loux, Jessica Shay, Kendall Slusher, Bailey Holt, and juniors Cameron Manning and Mikaila Dinkens! Congratulations!
Madelyn Jones

Cross Country
Madelyn tore her ACL early in the summer and has not been able to run with the team yet. Despite this, Madelyn has been a frequent attendee at practice to support and cheer on the team. We are lucky to have a great teammate like Madelyn.
Nicholas Henke
Milford - Freshman
Soccer
Nicholas, a freshman and younger brother to All-City senior Ryan Henke, opened his varsity campaign with a hat trick against Hamilton at the FCC training facility in Milford.
Reece Davis
Milford - Sophomore
Football
Reece made a huge impact in his first career varsity game as the Eagles' slot receiver. The quick and shifty sophomore caught a game-high eight passes in Milford's season-opening win at Edgewood, finishing with 141 yards receiving and a pair of touchdowns.
Ali Maglecic
Milford - Freshman
Cross Country
Ali competed in her first high school cross country race at the OHSAA Preseason Invitational. Ali had a very strong first race and finished second for the team. We look forward to many impressive performances from Ali throughout the season.
Cameron Manning
Milford - Junior
Golf
Cameron was medalist and shot a 40 at Terrace Park CC to lead Milford in its victory over Anderson this past week.
Ayla Grabenbauer
Milford - Senior
Cross Country
Ayla had a great race on Saturday at the Lakota Fall Classic, finishing in third place and helping to lead her team to the overall championship. Ayla is a great leader both on and off the course and looks to continue her success in the weeks to come.
Ava Blevins
Milford - Freshman
Water Polo
Ava had five goals this past weekend, as well as seven steals and a pair of assists.
Lauren Pickett
Milford - Junior
Volleyball
Lauren, a junior setter, helped the Milford Lady Eagles to a 3-0 start this past week, leading the team in assists (69) and aces (14). She also recorded eight kills and 21 digs in wins over Sycamore, Kings, and West Clermont. Way to go, Lauren!
Jacob Luecke
Milford - Sophomore
Football
Jacob earned the role of punter for the Eagles this season and was outstanding in his first game last week against Lakota East. The sophomore booted five punts for an average of 41.4 yards, including a long of 51 yards. He also dropped a punt that was downed at the East two-yard line.
