Eastern Cincinnati Conference Champions. District Champions. Three straight 20-plus win seasons. All of these accomplishments for the 2023 Milford Softball team have propelled several members of the squad to league, district and state postseason honors.

Here’s a look at the recipients awards and their season highlights.

Senior Avery Fielman
• 1st team All-Ohio
• 1st team All-Southwest District
• ECC Co-Offensive Player of the Year
• 1st team All-ECC
• Led the conference with a Milford single season record nine home runs
• Finished fourth in the ECC batting title race (.521) and was fifth in RBI (38)
• Also ranked in the top-five in the league in runs (39), doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.617)
• Set school records for highest career slugging percentage (.947), highest career on-base percentage (.574), most career doubles (42), most career home runs (17) and highest single season slugging percentage (1.113)
• Finished career as three-time All-ECC selection, including two straight first team honors

Freshman Meghan McClellan
• Honorable mention All-Ohio
• 2nd team All-Southwest District
• 1st team All-ECC
• Led the ECC in strikeouts by a wide margin, finishing with 186
• Won 16 games to rank third among ECC hurlers
• Finished third among qualifying league players with a 2.08 ERA

Senior Callie Allison
• Honorable mention All-Southwest District
• 1st team All-ECC
• Tied for fifth in the ECC with 13 doubles
• Was among the top hitters on the Milford team with a .413 batting average
• In first season as team’s starting catcher, was charged with just one passed ball all season, while tallying four pickoffs
• Also earned first team all-league honors as a junior
• Will continue playing career next season at Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Senior Myra Darrah
• 1st team All-ECC
• Among the top-10 players in the ECC with 12 doubles
• Tallied a .438 batting average with three home runs and 21 RBI

Junior Kaitlyn Flynn
• 1st team All-ECC
• Hit the game-winning home run to propel Milford to a district championship, stunning Oak Hills
• Finished the campaign with six doubles, a triple, two home runs and 18 RBI
• A two-time all-conference selection after earning honorable mention last year

Senior Madi Fugate
• 1st team All-ECC
• The sparkplug at the top of the Milford line-up, swiping a ECC-best 21 stolen bases
• Was also in the top-10 in the league in runs (33), hits (45), batting average (.489) and on-base percentage (.539)
• Tied the school record for career stolen bases with 38
• Was also first team All-ECC as a junior

Senior Madelyn Jones
• 1st team All-ECC
• Enjoyed a breakthrough season, hitting .429 with eight doubles and 18 RBI

Freshman Lanie McCoy
• 1st team All-ECC
• Broke onto the scene by ranking second on the Eagles with 30 RBI
• Hit .400 for her first prep season, connecting on eight doubles and a pair of home runs

Senior Cheruby Herbert
• 2nd team All-ECC
• As Milford’s No. 2 pitcher, tied for eight in the ECC with six wins
• Posted a 3.03 ERA and earned 24 strikeouts
• A first team All-ECC selection last spring

Junior Isabella Zimmerman
• Honorable mention All-ECC
• Batted .397 with nine doubles, a homer and 15 RBI
