Another honor for girls basketball standout Kaylie McKenney and the first for top boys player Alex Hannah as each Eagle has been named honorable mention All-Southwest District by area sportswriters. McKenney was also recently tabbed All-District 16 honorable mention.

Kaylie had an outstanding junior season, ranking second in the ECC with 8.8 rebounds per game and fourth with 47.8% field goal percentage. She averaged 9.4 points per game, including a career-high of 16 twice.

Alex had a career year as a senior, finishing the campaign as one the ECC’s top scorers (14.5 points per game) and rebounders (6.8 per game). Along with four double-doubles, Alex topped 15 points in 12 of 21 contests, including a career-high of 26 in a win over Winton Woods.

The All-ECC teams will be announced once all league teams have been eliminated from postseason play.
