Week Of April 28 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Henry Craycraft and Eli Johnson
Milford Track

Henry, a junior, ran a career-best 2:00.61 in his season-opening 800m race at the Lakota West Invitational. Henry is poised for big things this season, and he is an integral part of the distance squad. His continued hard work and focused mindset are a vital part of the program and help shape the team both on the track and off. Eli, a junior, led the boys' team at the Anderson/Turpin JV Invitational by winning the 100 meter dash with a personal best of 11.77 seconds and finishing second in the 200 meter dash with a personal-best time of 24.71. Eli has been a particularly valuable member of the team, competing for both the varsity and the junior varsity teams in both open and relay events. His positive attitude positively impacts the team every day.

Anna Jorden and Mya Brown
Milford Track

Anna, a freshman, had a great meet at Lakota West, clearing 5'2" to win the high jump (with solid attempts at 5'4.5") and also setting a PR in the 300 hurdles. Anna is driven and detail oriented, consistently pushing herself, while encouraging her teammates. She is a joy to have around the high jump, and we look forward to seeing her hard work continue to pay off. Mya, a sophomore, led the team by scoring in all of her events at the Anderson/Turpin JV Invitational on Monday. She placed first in the long jump with a jump of 13'9". Additionally, she placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a personal best of 29.25 seconds and eighth in the 100 meter dash with a personal best of 14.16 seconds.
