One week after suffering a shutout loss to Withrow, Milford flipped the script on another CPS school as the Eagles handed Walnut Hills a 37-0 loss in Week 2 of the 2025 season. Junior QB Jayden Bodley accounted for four touchdowns, including three through the air, while the Milford defense allowed just 69 yards and forced four turnovers. The victory is Milford’s fifth in a row over Walnut in which they’ve outscored WHHS by a 152-15 count.

Behind Bodley’s arm and legs, the Eagles scored early and often, opening a 24-0 halftime lead and turning on the 30-point differential running clock just over three minutes into the second half.

Milford started the scoring on its first drive of the night. After a Sione Lolo sack forced a Walnut punt, Milford took over at midfield and nine plays later, Bodley found Joey Dahmer in the right corner of the endzone for an 11-yard TD pitch and catch. Sophomore Aiden Luley jumped on a Walnut fumble on the ensuing drive with Milford taking over at the visitor’s 25-yard line. Four plays later, Bodley found sophomore Caylob Brasington for a 24-yard TD strike and a 14-0 Milford lead.

As the game moved on to the second quarter, a fourth down stop near midfield gave Milford the ball back. That Milford drive ended with a 28-yard field goal by Tyler McQueen, the first of the senior’s career. A wild snap from center on Walnut’s next possession was jumped on by Isaiah Carranza at the Walnut 18-yard line, once again giving Milford short field. That drive ended when senior Jake Dixon, known for his prowess at linebacker but now moonlighting on offense as well, bulled in from nine yards out after taking a Wildcat snap.

The next score of the game came just over three minutes into the second half. Gavin Weitlauf forced and recovered a Walnut fumble, handing Milford the ball at the Walnut 38. The Bodley to Dahmer connection came through again four plays later, this time from 27 yards out. Milford closed out the scoring during a rapidly moving second half at the 5:42 mark of the fourth when Bodley called his own number and rushed in from seven yards out.

As mentioned, Bodley was the Milford offensive leader, accounting for four touchdowns. He finished a modest 12 of 22 passing for 130 yards and the three scores, while adding a team-best 45 yards on four rushes. Dahmer was his first receiver with five catches for 70 yards and a pair of scores. Several Milford defenders had strong games, led by junior DB Chase Gale who finished with nine tackles, an interception and a pass break-up. Lolo and Parker Mott each recorded sacks, while Weitlauf, Carranza and Luley all recovered fumbles.

Milford returns to action next Friday night hosting perennial power Winton Woods inside Eagle Stadium Powered by Cullen Electric.
