Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Joey Dahmer and Jake Dixon
Milford Football
Joey, a junior wide receiver, continued his stellar campaign with his third multi-touchdown game of the year. Against West Clermont, Joey snagged seven passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including an acrobatic, leaping catch in double coverage for an 80-yard score. Jake, a senior linebacker, made history by simply matching his jersey number. In a gutsy performance against West Clermont, Jake set a school and ECC record by tallying 26 tackles, including 10 solo. He also forced a fumble. Jake is the ECC leader in tackles at the season's halfway point.
Grace Hamm and Piper McCormick
Milford Volleyball
Grace, a senior, was offensively and defensively a huge player for us this week. She was a key player in our sweep against Lebanon, and she was unstoppable on offense against one of the top teams in our league, Kings. Piper, a freshman, was another key player for us this week. She had a hitting percentage of over .600 against Lebanon and was a big blocker for us against Kings.
Matthew Perrin
Milford Cross Country
Matthew continues to have a tremendous season, racing well at Cedarville and helping to lead the team to a second-place overall finish. Matthew is a great example of how consistent effort over time leads to huge breakthroughs!
Maddie Rockey
Milford Soccer
Maddie was tasked with man marking the Cincinnati D1 top goal scorer. While man marking, Maddie still scored two goals to help us come out with the draw against a very talented Anderson squad. She can do it all!
Schylar Sperl
Milford Cross Country
Schylar is in her third year of running cross country and is proving what hard work and consistency can accomplish. Schylar had an awesome summer of training and has already dropped her career PR by over a minute. We are excited to see what Schylar will continue to accomplish this season.
