Aiden Luley, a sophomore, tallied a season-high 11 tackles, while adding half a sack and one quarterback hurry.
Week 4
· Jayden Bodley, the Eagles' junior quarterback, had a career-night against Loveland. For the game, he completed 26-of-38 passes for a personal-high 251 yards, while matching his best with three touchdowns. Joey Dahmer, also a junior, was Jayden's favorite target at receiver. He finished with a pair of touchdowns among his seven receptions, totaling 67 yards receiving. Joey added 12 yards on one rushing attempt.

Last Year vs. Anderson
Squaring off against one of the best teams in Ohio regardless of division, Milford struck early against a powerful Anderson team, but the Raptors responded in big way as they knocked off the Eagles 57-6 on the rainy turf of Eagle Stadium Powered by Cullen Electric. The setback handed Milford consecutive losses for the first time since weeks eight and nine of the 2021 season.
Carter Ings dashed 78 yards for a touchdown on the game’s second snap, putting Anderson behind on the scoreboard for the first time all season. That would last less than two minutes though, as the Raptors scored the first of 57 unanswered points to gain a measure of revenge against an Eagle team that has one the last two meetings between the schools.
Andreson cruised into halftime ahead 43-6 on the strength of five touchdown passes by Justice Burnman, three to Adiden McClanahan. The Raptors’ gunslinging QB finished 20 of 30 for 236 yards on the day.
After Milford took in the opening kickoff, Brand found Ings, who has settled in nicely as a slot receiver the last two weeks, on a quick slant. The senior, who started the season in the defensive backfield, did the rest, sprinting 78 yards for his first career touchdown. Ings also showed his potential in the return game as he returned four kickoffs for 81 yards, including a long of 29.
With the running clock active throughout the second half, Milford did have one nice scoring opportunity on it lone fourth quarter possession. With sophomore QB Jayden Bodley at the controls, Milford drove to the Anderson nine-yard before its drive stalled out. Senior RB Malcolm Evans had an 18-yard run during the stretch while freshman WR Nolan Burch added a career-long 23-yard reception.
Anderson, known in years past for its high-octane offense, has a defense to match this season, as evidenced by the job it did on Milford’s Jordan Davis and Brand. Davis, who averaged 97 yards per game entering the contest, was held to just four yards on nine carries. Brand completed 11 of 21 passes for 159 yards, but was intercepted three times and sacked once. Christian Felix paced the Milford defense with a career-high 12 tackles.
Week 5 Game Summary
Two costly second half turnovers and a relentless West Clermont ground attack proved too much to overcome as Milford dropped its third straight, a 35-21 setback to the rival Wolves. Not to be overlooked in the defeat was a gutsy performance by senior LB Jake Dixon who set a school and Eastern Cincinnati Conference single-game record with an astounding 26 tackles, including 10 solo.
With the score knotted at 21 early in the third quarter, West Clermont came up with an interception at its own one-yard line that stopped a would be go-ahead Milford score. Later, still very much in the game down 28-21, a Jayden Bodley fumble on the first play of the fourth quarter set up the touchdown that would put the game away.
West Clermont, long known for its punishing rushing attack, once again filled the bill, grinding out 388 yards on the ground. After yielding nearly 200 first quarter yards, the Eagles locked down in the second quarter, allowing just 60 in the frame. But WC poured it on with nearly 200 more yards in the second half against an exhausted group of Milford defenders.
The Wolves got off to a fast start as a double handoff on the game’s second play from scrimmage netted a 67-yard gain down to the Milford one, setting up Landon Young for his first of five TDs on the night. The Joey Dahmer show allowed Milford to quickly tie the game as the junior started with a 19-yard kick return, before hauling in three straight passes for 58 yards. The final was a nicely thrown 24-yard scoring strike by Bodley to his favorite target.
A long kickoff return set up Young’s second touchdown on the ensuing drive and in the final minute of the quarter, the WC star back burst 39 yards for a 21-7 lead for the visitors. West Clermont’s two touchdown lead lasted all of 14 seconds though as Dahmer once again provided magic. This time, he leapt in the air over double coverage to bring in an improbable 80-yard touchdown reception.
As the game moved on to the second quarter, Milford had chances, oh did they have chances. First, a shanked punt that set Milford up near midfield. Then, a botched snap on a punt that again set Milford near midfield. After both of those chances proved fruitless, the game went to the half with WC up 21-14.
A series of events early in the second half swung the momentum the Eagles way as they looked to take their first lead. Senior Karson Long returned the opening second half kickoff 74 yards, deep into WC territory. Three plays later, Bodley rushed in from one yard out to tie the game.
Perhaps, the biggest sequence of the game happened over a 1:30 span with the momentum swinging back and forth. After being forced to start deep in its own end, WC had to punt. Sione Lolo broke through for the Eagles’ first blocked punt in nearly two seasons, setting up the hosts just 10 yards from going ahead. After two rushes to the four, WC’s Brady Mineer made a diving interception at the one to kill Milford’s scoring chance.
What happened over the next 5:37 was a work of art as West Clermont navigated a 99-yard drive in 10 plays, the final a 33-yard TD rush by Young to go ahead to stay. Milford got the ball back and was moving, but a Bodley fumble on the first play of the fourth was the last straw. WC then chewed the next 7:23 off the clock, with Young plunging in from a yard out at the 4:48 mark for the game’s last score.
Bodley had another solid performance at QB despite the turnovers as he finished 17 of 29 for 240 yards and the two TDs to Dahmer. The latter hauled in seven passes for a career-high 139 yards. On top of Dixon’s record 26 stops and a forced fumble, Lolo added nine tackles, including 2.5 for loss to his blocked punt.
West Clermont finished with 391 yards of total offense, but completed just 1 of 2 passes for 3 yards. Milford finished with 283 total yards.
