SETTING THE SCENE: Needing to collect wins to qualify for this season’s smaller OHSAA Playoffs field, Milford hits the field in against one of the ECC’s best in 6-1 Kings. The Eagles will be hoping to snap a five-game losing streak against a Kings squad led by a tenacious defense and a balanced offensive attack. Milford will try to slow Kings offense with a defense that features the ECC’s leading tackler in senior Jake Dixon (95 tackles). He’s just 26 stops behind former Bryce Dugan’s single-season school record of 121 tackles. Dixon is also chasing the career tackles mark of 222 shared by Dugan and Andrew Littrell, entering the week with 209 stops.

Notable 2025 Performances
Week 1
·        Senior P/K Tyler McQueen had a booming start to his senior year. In the Eagles' opener against Withrow, Tyler punted four times for an average of 49.8 yards per kick, including a career-best 59 yarder. He also placed his only kickoff of the night inside the 10-yard line.
Week 2
·        In just his second varsity start, junior QB Jayden Bodley accounted for four touchdowns in leading the Milford offense to a 37-0 win. Jayden threw three touchdown passes, while rushing for a fourth. The junior finished with 130 yards passing and a team-high 45 more rushing. Junior DB Chase Gale came up big on defense, leading the Eagles with nine tackles, snagging his first career interception, and breaking up another pass.
Week 3
·        Against a tough Winton Woods team, Joey Dahmer, a junior, finished with 143 all-purpose yards and his team-leading third touchdown of the season. Overcoming a slow first half, Joey finished with 63 yards receiving, including a touchdown, plus eight yards rushing and 72 yards in kickoff returns. Aiden Luley, a sophomore, tallied a season-high 11 tackles, while adding half a sack and one quarterback hurry.
Week 4
·        Jayden Bodley, the Eagles' junior quarterback, had a career-night against Loveland. For the game, he completed 26-of-38 passes for a personal-high 251 yards, while matching his best with three touchdowns. Joey Dahmer, also a junior, was Jayden's favorite target at receiver. He finished with a pair of touchdowns among his seven receptions, totaling 67 yards receiving. Joey added 12 yards on one rushing attempt.
Week 5
·        Joey Dahmer, a junior wide receiver, continued his stellar campaign with his third multi-touchdown game of the year. Against West Clermont, Joey snagged seven passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including an acrobatic, leaping catch in double coverage for an 80-yard score. Jake Dixon, a senior linebacker, made history by simply matching his jersey number. In a gutsy performance against West Clermont, Jake set a school and ECC record by tallying 26 tackles, including 10 solo. He also forced a fumble. Jake is the ECC leader in tackles at the season's halfway point.
Week 6
Against a very talented Anderson secondary, senior WR Karson Long corralled a season-high five receptions for a career-best 69 yards, including a long of 28 yards. He was also busy on special teams, returning six kickoffs for 114 yards (19.0 yard average).
Week 7
Joey Dahmer, already enjoying a stellar season at wide receiver, showed another facet of his game against Lebanon with his first career return touchdown. Already the owner of seven receiving touchdowns this season, Joey returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown against the Warriors.

Last Year vs. Kings
Kings set the tone for the night scoring on the game’s first play from scrimmage as they blitzed a short-handed Milford squad by a 45-0 score. The Knights’ Carson Lindholm darted 80 yards for his first of four touchdowns on the opening snap as Kings cruised to the win. The Knights outgained the Eagles by a 385-76 mark, in part by Lindholm’s 139 yards rushing.

Milford QB Luke Brand completed 13 of his 19 passes on the night, but for only 73 yards and was sacked five times. Carter Ings was the top target with four catches for 29 yards. On defense, Jake Dixon led the Eagles with 13 tackles, including 1.5 for loss.

Week 7 Game Summary
Milford put up a valiant effort for 2.5 quarters, but Lebanon pulled away late to hand the Eagles a 37-21 Homecoming setback. The Eagles trailed by just eight at the half and again midway through the third quarter, but a pair of short rushing touchdowns proved to be the end of the line for the Eagles.

The night began pitting the two lowest-ranked scoring defenses in the ECC, but by the end of the first 12 minutes of play, the scoreboard noted a 0-0 tie. It took nearly eight minutes into the second quarter before either team broke through and it was the Warriors going to a trick play to take the lead. RB Daniel Wallace took a handoff, stopped and launched what would go down as an 85-yard TD pass to Wyatt Lassen.

Milford answered quickly, however as runs of 17 yards by RB Zyon Randall and 33 yards by QB Jayden Bodley set up the first Milford score. After coming up big with his legs, Bodley used his right arm to complete the drive on a nicely thrown 32-yard strike to senior wideout Karson Long. Unfortunately, the extra point was blocked leaving Milford still down a point.

As they did to generate their first score, the Warriors went right back into their bag of tricks to set up another score just before the half and again it was Lassen and Wallace at the forefront. Wallace fielded the ensuing kickoff after Long’s score and after a 12-yard return, he made a backwards pass to Lassen who rumbled all the way to the Milford 20. Just two plays later, Wallace was barreling in from a yard out for a 14-6 Lebanon halftime lead.

Lebanon would come out firing in the second half, marching 61 yards in 11 plays over 5:02 to take a 22-6 lead on a Wallace four-yard TD and subsequent two-point conversion. Milford wouldn’t stay on the mat but for 16 seconds, however. Junior WR Joey Dahmer, already with seven TD receptions to his credit this season, electrified the Homecoming crowd with a 98-yard kickoff return for a score. Interestingly, Dahmer’s heroics marked the fourth consecutive season Milford has recorded a special teams return for a touchdown against Lebanon.

But the second eight-point deficit of the night would be as close as Milford could get. Warrior QB Mason Reed found the endzone at the 5:51 mark of the third and Logan Schmenk was celebrating a score just two minutes into the fourth quarter as Lebanon pulled in front 37-14. Milford’s Jake Dixon rounded out the night’s scoring with a short touchdown run late in the going.

The Eagles were limited to 177 yards on the night with Bodley throwing for 116. Randall paced the ground game with 22 yards. Dixon was the leader on D with 15 stops, while a returning Jensen Davis added an interception. Lebanon piled up 201 yards rushing, including 95 by Schmenk and 82 by Reed.
