SETTING THE SCENE: Still chasing that elusive second win of the season, Milford is presented with a chance during Week 9 in a match-up of 1-7 squads. Its been a tough season for both the Eagles and this week’s opponent, Little Miami, as both squads have just a win over Walnut Hills to its credit; Milford’s during Week 2, Little Miami’s in Week 4. In addition to seeking a win, Milford senior LB Jake Dixon needs just one more tackle to become the school’s career leader. He enters tied with Bryce Dugan and Andrew Littrell, all with 222 career stops. Dixon also is nearing Dugan’s season mark of 121, as he enters the night 13 shy of matching Dugan.

Notable 2025 Performances
Week 1
Senior P/K Tyler McQueen had a booming start to his senior year. In the Eagles' opener against Withrow, Tyler punted four times for an average of 49.8 yards per kick, including a career-best 59 yarder. He also placed his only kickoff of the night inside the 10-yard line.
Week 2
In just his second varsity start, junior QB Jayden Bodley accounted for four touchdowns in leading the Milford offense to a 37-0 win. Jayden threw three touchdown passes, while rushing for a fourth. The junior finished with 130 yards passing and a team-high 45 more rushing. Junior DB Chase Gale came up big on defense, leading the Eagles with nine tackles, snagging his first career interception, and breaking up another pass.
Week 3
Against a tough Winton Woods team, Joey Dahmer, a junior, finished with 143 all-purpose yards and his team-leading third touchdown of the season. Overcoming a slow first half, Joey finished with 63 yards receiving, including a touchdown, plus eight yards rushing and 72 yards in kickoff returns. Aiden Luley, a sophomore, tallied a season-high 11 tackles, while adding half a sack and one quarterback hurry.
Week 4
Jayden Bodley, the Eagles' junior quarterback, had a career-night against Loveland. For the game, he completed 26-of-38 passes for a personal-high 251 yards, while matching his best with three touchdowns. Joey Dahmer, also a junior, was Jayden's favorite target at receiver. He finished with a pair of touchdowns among his seven receptions, totaling 67 yards receiving. Joey added 12 yards on one rushing attempt.
Week 5
Joey Dahmer, a junior wide receiver, continued his stellar campaign with his third multi-touchdown game of the year. Against West Clermont, Joey snagged seven passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including an acrobatic, leaping catch in double coverage for an 80-yard score. Jake Dixon, a senior linebacker, made history by simply matching his jersey number. In a gutsy performance against West Clermont, Jake set a school and ECC record by tallying 26 tackles, including 10 solo. He also forced a fumble. Jake is the ECC leader in tackles at the season's halfway point.
Week 6
Against a very talented Anderson secondary, senior WR Karson Long corralled a season-high five receptions for a career-best 69 yards, including a long of 28 yards. He was also busy on special teams, returning six kickoffs for 114 yards (19.0 yard average).
Week 7
Joey Dahmer, already enjoying a stellar season at wide receiver, showed another facet of his game against Lebanon with his first career return touchdown. Already the owner of seven receiving touchdowns this season, Joey returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown against the Warriors.
Week 8
Against one of the ECC's better defenses in Kings, junior QB Jayden Bodley had one of his best performances of the season in his first year as the Eagles' starting quarterback. For the night, Jayden completed 22-of-32 passes for 194 yards, including his 10th TD pass of the year.
Last Year vs. Little Miami
QB Luke Brand led a Senior Night offensive outburst with five total touchdowns as Milford snapped a four-game losing streak with a convincing 42-7 win over Little Miami. The Eagles did all of their scoring in the first half as Brand rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two, one each to David Kittrell and Joey Dahmer.
Not to be outdone, the Milford defense, which has struggled particularly against the run, limited Little Miami to just 105 yards of total offense. On the strength of five sacks, the Panthers had -30 yards rushing to their credit.
Brand was efficient through the air and evasive on the ground, finishing 22 of 26 for a season-high 293 yards. He also converted three short TD runs to lead the Milford offense. Caden Bailey led Milford with 91 receiving yards, while senior RB Malcolm Evans paced the ground game with a career-high 82 rushing yards.
Little Miami tried to catch the Eagles off guard to start the game, attempting an onside kick that was recovered by the home team. A drive keyed by a 33-yard Brand to Bailey connection culminated in Brand rushing in for the final yard and a 7-0 Eagle lead.
Following a LM punt, Brand scored again, racing in from 12 yards out with just over five minutes remaining in the quarter. The senior made it three rushing TDs in the quarter just over three minutes later when he followed his blockers into the end zone from two yards out.
While Brand did it with his legs in the first quarter, he started the second stanza leading with his arm. Milford was able to overcome a third and 30 situation with consecutive receptions by Kittrell of 18 and 23 yards to get back into the redzone. Kittrell was rewarded later in the drive as he hauled in a four-yard toss from Brand for his first career touchdown and a 28-0 Milford lead.
After another LM punt, Milford’s next drive started with back-to-back catches of 20 and 29 yards by Bailey and later a nifty 22-yard run by Evans. The nine-play, 84-yard drive wrapped when Jordan Davis plowed in for a one-yard touchdown.
An unlikely hero and a last-minute substitution on back-to-back plays set up the final Milford score of the night with under a minute remaining in the half. First, senior DL Andrew Crouch perfectly read a screen pass, hauling in an interception that he returned 33 yards to the Little Miami 40. Just before the next snap, a Milford wideout was forced to the sideline with an equipment issue and was replaced in the line-up by Dahmer. The speedy sophomore hauled in a short Brand throw and did the rest with his legs, jetting 40 yards for a touchdown.
Crouch ended up with a huge night on the defensive side of the ball, getting credit for a pair of sacks, an additional tackle for loss, and a quarterback hurry on top of his interception. Jake Dixon led the Eagles with five tackles, including a sack.
Week 8 Game Summary
Milford and Kings traded touchdowns on the first two drives of the night, but the Knights poured on the game’s next 42 points as they cruised to a 49-14 win over the Eagles. Jake Dixon and Joey Dahmer each accounted for touchdowns in the defeat, while Dixon moved onto the brink of history with his performance on defense.
Dixon finished the evening with 13 tackles, improving his career total to 221, just one stop shy of the school record shared by Bryce Dugan and Andrew Littrell. Moonlighting on offense in short yardage situations this year as well, Dixon scored Milford’s first touchdown with a one-yard plunge.
After Kings went 66 yards in six plays to start the festivities, Milford answered by marching 60 yards in five plays, needing just 1:02 to tie the game. The Eagles’ first play from scrimmage was the key to the drive as QB Jayden Bodley connected with Nolan Burch for a 40-yard gain. After back-to-back catches by Caylob Brasington and another snag by Burch, Dixon charged in from the wildcat formation to tie the game.
Kings would put it high-powered offense on full display as QB Grant Nurre threw a pair of touchdown passes and Max Lockwood rushed for two, highlighting the Knights building a 49-7 lead. Milford would get on the scoreboard again with just 1:25 to play when Bodley found Joey Dahmer for a 22-yard strike. For Dahmer, it was his eighth TD reception of the year, matching the team-high total of Caden Bailey from the 2024 campaign.
Bodley played one of his better games of the year, completing 22 of 32 passes for 194 yards. Dahmer, per usual, was his top target, with 10 receptions for 86 yards. His 10 catches were the most by an Eagle since Bailey hauled in 10 in the 2024 season-opener against Edgewood.
