Eagles Grounded At Home By Lakota East

Posted on: August 28, 2021

A tight defensive dominated battle saw Lakota East wear down Milford in the second half, ultimately pulling away from the Eagles by a 35-0 final score. The ThunderHawks, who finished with 300 yards rushing on the day, led just 14-0 at the half, but used three short touchdown runs after the break to take the decisive win.

One week after registering over 500 yards of offensive in the win at Edgewood, Milford was held to only 127 yards of total offense against East. Sawyer Copp led the Eagle ground game with 45 yards. Austin Hardin was held to just 93 yards through the air.

Milford will look to get back in the win column next week when it opens Eastern Cincinnati Conference play on the road at Walnut Hills.
