ECC, District Awards Aplenty For Eagles Volleyball
A 21-win campaign, plus success in the classroom led to a bevy of awards for the Milford Volleyball team as voted on by the Eastern Cincinnati and Southwest District coaches. In all, five players received awards for their play, with an additional Eagle being selected for a Senior Showcase. This is all in addition to some strong academic achievements and a coaches’ achievement award for Head Coach Amy Gill.
Here’s a look at the recipients awards and their season highlights.
Senior Campbell Robinson
• 1st Team All-ECC
• 1st Team All-District
• Selected for the Southwest District All-Star Game on November 17 at Lakota East
• AVCA Best & Brightest 2nd Team
• Ranked fourth in the ECC in kills (344) and led the league in blocks (66)
Senior Lauren Pickett
• 1st Team All-ECC
• 3rd Team All-District
• Selected for the Southwest District All-Star Game on November 17 at Lakota East
• Ranked second in the ECC in assists (866)
Junior Kelsey McKenney
• 2nd Team All-ECC
• Tied for second in the ECC in blocks (57) and ranked 10th in kills (192)
Freshman Rachel Morgan
• 2nd Team All-ECC
• Ranked third in the ECC in digs (350)
Senior Avery Fielman
• Honorable Mention All-ECC
• Ranked ninth in the ECC in digs (255)
Senior Macie Bach
• Selected for the Southwest District Senior Showcase on November 17 at Lakota East
In addition, the Eagles received the Southwest District Team Academic Award for posting the highest combined GPA in the district (4.368). Milford’s 10 seniors, Macie Bach, Hannah Daniels, Avery Fielman, Kourtney Hicks, Olivia Lemle, Janey Miller, Lauren Pickett, Mia Raussen, Campbell Robinson and Bree Teague each received the District Senior Academic Award as well.
