Four Eagles Earn ECC Girls Tennis Accolades

Posted on: October 17, 2023

Another successful season for the Milford Girls Tennis program has produced four All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selections for the Eagles. Senior Jasmin Mu earned second team honors as a singles player, while the doubles duo of sophomore Sarah Lane and freshman Maggie Worthington were also named to the second team. Sophomore Abby Lepper was Milford’s honorable mention choice.

Mu wrapped up a stellar high school career by becoming one of just three Milford players ever to qualify for districts more than once. After finishing third at sectionals, she split her two district contests to come up just one win shy of qualifying to state. She took fourth place in first singles at the ECC Tournament, was second in her flight at the SWOCA Coaches Classic and had a 9-2 regular season record. Mu completes her career as a three-time All-ECC honoree.

Lane and Worthington enjoyed great success at second doubles together in each player’s first full varsity season. For the regular season, the duo finished with an 8-2 record and were runners-up for the ECC title. They also won their flight at the Coaches Classic and were victorious in their opening match-up at sectionals.

Lepper was outstanding this fall as well, going 8-0 in singles competition during the regular season, while finishing 2-2 in doubles play. She won her first match at sectionals, took first place in her flight of the Coaches Classic and finished fourth in the ECC in third singles competition.
