Girls Basketball Postseason Award Winners
Congratulations to the following girls basketball players who have earned postseason awards for their play during the recently completed season. This page will be updated as more awards are announced.
Here’s a look at the recipients awards and their season highlights.
Violet Shuluga
• Honorable Mention All-District (media)
• 1st team All-ECC
• 1st team All-District (coaches)
• One of the most versatile players in the ECC, ranking in the top-five in points (14.3), assists (3.1) and steals (2.7) per game and sitting eighth in rebounds per game (6.0)
• Reached double figures scoring in 20 of 24 games this season, including six contests with 20 or more points
• Set a school record by nabbing 12 steals in a win over Anderson
• Recorded five double-doubles on the season
• Has moved into seventh in school history in career points scored (807) and is nearing the top-five in career three-pointers, steals and assists
Gabby Chadwell
• Honorable Mention All-District (media)
• 1st team All-ECC
• 2nd team All-District (coaches)
• Just outside the top-10 in the ECC in scoring with 11.4 points per game
• Made a league-best 49 three-pointers placing her in a tie for fourth on Milford’s single season list
• Tied for sixth in the league with 62 steals, was ninth with a 72.4% free throw percentage and was just outside the top-10 with 53 assists
• Reached double digits in scoring in 14 of 24 games, topping the 20-point mark four times
Kelsey McKenney
• 2nd team All-ECC
• Finished just outside the top-10 in the ECC with 5.5 rebounds per game and was seventh with 47.4% shooting percentage
• Reached double figures in scoring nine times, including a career-high 20 in a win over Colerain
Cayden Smith
• 2nd team All-ECC
• Ranked second in the ECC with 45 made three-pointers, tying her for sixth on the school’s single-season list
• Had seven games with at least 10 points scored
Ella Crompton
• Honorable mention All-ECC
• Ranked eighth in the ECC with 59 assists
