Girls Golf Qualifies For Districts For First Time Since 2014

For the first time since 2014, the Milford girls golf team has qualified as a team for the OHSAA District Tournament after an outstanding performance at the sectional qualifier at Hamilton Elks Golf Club. The Eagles grabbed the fourth and final team qualifying position after shooting a combined score of 370, to take the slot by a single stroke over Lakota West.

The Eagles’ top-three players all placed in the top-15 of the 77-player field to secure the qualifying berth. Junior Abi Loux led the way, tying for 11th with a round of 87. Jessica Shay was 14th at 88 and Cameron Manning was tied for 15th with an 89.

The OHSAA District Championship is set for next Tuesday, October 13 at Glenview Golf Course in Glendale. The Eagles will tee off beginning around 9 am.
