Milford Announces Hall Of Fame Class Of 2017

The Milford High School Athletic Department and the Milford Athletic Boosters Club are pleased to announce the Milford Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee Class of 2017. Four individuals have been chosen by the Hall of Fame committee. They are:

 

  • Mike Reckman, Class of 1995

(Wrestling, Cross Country)

  • Aaron DeNu, Class of 1997

(Soccer)

  • Brandon Baker, Class of 2008

(Basketball)

  • Morgan Wolcott, Class of 2012

(Soccer, Basketball, Track & Field)

 

Hall of Fame Night is scheduled for Saturday, February 3, 2018. Festivities will include a pre-induction reception and dinner for the new inductees, their families, friends and the current members of the Milford Hall of Fame. Induction ceremonies will be in the Fley Center Gymnasium prior to the Milford boy’s varsity basketball game versus Winton Woods High School.

 

Inductees will receive a plaque recognizing their athletic accomplishments from the Milford Athletic Boosters Club. A lifetime pass to all Milford Athletic Department events will also be presented. Each inductee’s name will be added to the Milford Athletic Hall of Fame recognition plaque located in the Fley Center lobby at Milford High School. Induction Class of 2017 Bios

Brandon Baker (Class of 2008)

  • Earned four varsity letters in basketball
  • 1st team All-Greater Miami Conference (GMC) in basketball (2007)
  • 1st team All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference (FAVC) in basketball (2008)
  • FAVC Player of the Year in basketball (2008)
  • Two-time All-City in basketball (2007, 2008)
  • Two-time varsity team captain in basketball (2007, 2008)
  • 1st all-time in career steals, blocks and three-pointers made at the time of his graduation
  • 4th all-time in career rebounds, 5th all-time in career assists at the time of his graduation
  • Nominated for the McDonald’s All-American team (2008)
  • Attended Belmont University (Nashville, TN) on a basketball scholarship,
  • Won four Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) regular season and three tournament basketball championships
  • Played in three NCAA Basketball Championship Tournaments

Aaron DeNu (Class of 1997)

  • Earned four varsity letters in soccer
  • Three-time All-Greater Miami Conference (GMC) in soccer (1994, 1995, 1996)
  • Two-time 1st team All-City in soccer (1995, 1996)
  • All-Ohio in soccer (1996)
  • Ohio Development Program (ODP) state team (1992-96)
  • 1st place all-time in career goals at the time of his graduation
  • 3rd in assists and points scored at the time of his graduation
  • Attended Wilmington College on a soccer scholarship (1997-2001)
  • Played in the NCAA Sweet 16 National Soccer Tournament
  • Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Academic (OCSA) Academic All-Ohio (1999)

Mike Reckman (Class of 1995)

  • Earned four varsity letters in wrestling
  • Career wrestling record of 111 – 25
  • Tournament record: 11 – 1st place, 7 – 2nd place, 4 – 3rd place, 3 – 4th place
  • 2nd most career wins in school history at the time of his graduation
  • Two-time Greater Miami Conference (GMC) wrestling champion (1994, 1995)
  • Two-time sectional champion wrestling champion (1994, 1995)
  • District wrestling champion (1995)
  • Three-time state wrestling qualifier (1993, 1994, 1995)
  • Milford Wrestling Hall of Fame Member (1995)
  • 1995 High School All-American in wrestling
  • Earned three varsity letters in cross country
  • Greater Miami Conference (GMC) Cross Country Team Championship (1994)

Morgan Wolcott (Class of 2012)

  • Earned nine varsity letters in soccer, basketball and track & field
  • Eight-time 1st team All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference (FAVC) in soccer (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), basketball (2010, 2011, 2012) and track & field (2010)
  • 2nd team All-FAVC in basketball (2009)
  • Four-time FAVC champion in soccer (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)
  • FAVC champion in track & field – shotput (2010)
  • Two-time FAVC-East Player of the Year in soccer (2011) and basketball (2012)
  • Eight-time All-FAVC Academic Award
  • Four-time All-Southwest Ohio in soccer (2010, 2012) and basketball (2010, 2011)
  • 2nd all-time in career assists (268) at the time of her graduation
  • 3rd all-time in career points (1,043) and career rebounds (642) at the time of her graduation
  • Attended The Ohio State University on a soccer scholarship
  • Three-time OSU women’s soccer captain (2015, 2016, 2017)
  • Two-time All-Big 10 in women’s soccer – 1st team (2017), 2nd team (2016)
  • Four-time Academic All-Big 10 (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)
  • 2nd team All American in women’s soccer (2017)
