Six Girls Soccer Players Earn All-ECC Recognition

A regular season that featured eight victories and a fourth place finish in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference concluded with six members of the 2018 Milford High School girls soccer team earning postseason honors. Of the honorees, senior Ali Kirk was a first team All-ECC choice as well as earning recognition on the All-Southwest Ohio team.


Other honorees for the Eagles include Tori Kittrell on the first team, second team honorees Ali Claus, Emily Dominique and Catrionna Manning, as well as honorable mention choice Madison Chitwood.


In earning first team All-ECC honors for the first time, Kirk led the Eagles in goals (7), assists (5) and points (19). Her totals ranked her among the top-six in each category in the ECC this year.


Kittrell, just a junior, is a now a two-time first team All-ECC honoree. An important piece of a Milford defense that allowed just over one goal per match, Kittrell also got in the offensive act with two goals and three assists for seven points.


Also a junior, Claus was named to the All-ECC second team for a second consecutive year. A talented scorer from the midfield, Claus finished this season with three goals and two assists for eight points.


Dominique was another defensive stalwart for the Eagles this year. After allowing five goals in each of the first two matches, Dominique helped Milford yield just 20 scores over the final 16 matches of the year. She tacked on one assist on offense.


In her second varsity season, Manning had a strong offensive season, splitting time between midfield and forward. Her three goals tied for fifth on the team and the junior assisted on another goal to finish with seven points.


Chitwood had an impressive senior year that saw her tie for second on the Eagles with five goals. She tacked on an assist to finish with 11 total points.


Milford finished the year 8-6-4 overall and in fourth place in the ECC at 4-1-2. The Eagles scored 11 goals to open the OHSAA Tournament with a win over Edgewood, before falling to Lakota East.
