Week Of April 17 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Posted on: April 19, 2023

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Cameron Ruppel and Mia Gfroerer
Milford Lacrosse
Cameron, a senior, led her defensive team this past week through two tough-fought games against Beavercreek and Walnut Hills. She had three ground balls and two caused turnovers and was integral in her team's defensive plan which successfully held each team to just seven points per game. Mia, also a senior, led her team on all ends of the field against Beavercreek and Walnut Hills, garnering four goals, three ground balls, two draw controls, and a pair of caused turnovers.

Kyle Dannemiller
Senior, Milford Volleyball
Kyle had 84 kills in five matches with seven aces and four blocks.

Camille Hutzel
Freshman, Milford Track
Camille once again came out and showed everyone that she is one of the ECC's best hurdlers. At the Loveland Buckeye Running Tri Meet, Camille recorded another great time of 48.55 to take home first place. Camille also led off our third-place 4x400 relay team. Camille has started this season off fast but continues to get faster! With her times in the 300 hurdles, Camille has also already qualified for the New Balance Nationals this summer! Keep it up Camille!

Toto Luani
Junior, Milford Track
Toto had a great meet at the Loveland Buckeye Running Tri. Toto long jumped a season-best 19'8" to take third, was on the second-place 4x200 relay team, and was a huge part of our 4x100 relay team that finished first overall. Toto plays a major role in our team's success, and it showed here this past week. Can't wait to see how far he and the rest of these guys can go!

Meghan McClellan
Freshman, Milford Softball
In 19 innings pitched this week, Meghan did not allow a run, allowing just eight hits and one walk while striking out 44. She pitched a five-inning perfect game against Winton Woods and had 14 strikeouts in three straight games during the week. At the plate, Meghan had a double, a home run, and six RBIs.
