Week Of October 14 ECC Athletes Of The Week

Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Caleb Fritz
Milford - Senior
Water Polo

Caleb is a strong defender in the hole defense position and has helped to prevent numerous goals by the opposing teams. He has scored nine goals this season, has five assists, and eight steals. Way to go, Caleb!

Ayla Grabenbauer
Milford - Sophomore
Cross Country

After missing all of last season with an injury, Ayla has returned for a strong season this year. She has finished top five for the team all season and was the number-one finisher at the Milford Invitational. Ayla and the team are looking for a strong showing at this week’s District Championship.

Hayden Harvey
Milford - Junior
Football

Hayden, a junior defensive tackle, was instrumental in helping the Eagles hold Withrow to -20 yards of total offense in the second half last Friday night. For the game, Hayden led the team with nine total tackles, including one for loss and half a sack. With the exception of one long run, the defense yielded only 34 rushing yards on 37 attempts.

Adam Horn
Milford - Sophomore
Golf

For the second straight year, Adam qualified for the OHSAA District Tournament. At Districts, Adam shot a solid round of 81 to finish 33rd overall as one of only 20 sophomores in a 96-player field.

Angela Kapitula
Milford - Senior
Volleyball

Angela, a senior outside hitter, had a great performance in the five-set victory over Walnut Hills. Angela contributed 16 kills and 10 digs, including four kills and no errors on eight attempts in a tight fifth set that finished 16-14.

AJ Kaylor
Milford - Junior
Cross Country

AJ set a career PR of 17:48 on a challenging course at West Clermont at the ECC Meet on Saturday. AJ was the top Eagle finisher and earned Honorable Mention for his efforts. Congratulations, AJ.

Claire Ryan
Milford - Sophomore
Water Polo

Claire was new to water polo last year. This season, she has played almost the whole game every game! Claire is happy to play in the goal or in the field. She cheerfully does whatever the team needs of her. She has scored three goals this year and had three assists. She has even stolen the ball four times. Great job, Claire!
