Week Of October 30 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!

Milford Soccer
Josie, a junior, joined the varsity squad mid-season due to an injury. Not only did she immediately see minutes, she started for us and has started ever since. She has stepped up big time and surpassed the expectations we had for her. She has become a significant piece to our puzzle and for our goals this postseason! Ana, a senior, has tallied four goals in the Lady Eagles' District Semifinal and Final matches. Ana has scored a total of 4 goals in our district semi-final and district final game.

Senior defensive back Robby Mickler helped slow Fairfield's high-powered offense (ranked first in the GMC) in Milford's playoff opening win. He finished with six solo tackles and was part of a defense that allowed only 15 points and less than 250 yards of total offense. Some of the unsung heroes of Milford's perfect season have been the starting offensive line of junior Jack Wesseling, senior Matt Bloom, senior Mahlik Boben, junior Cole Huffer and sophomore Sione Lolo. Against Fairfield, the group paved the way for the Eagles to churn out 326 yards rushing, the most by the team in over two years. Their efforts helped produce one back that finished with over 200 yards and another with 100+ yards.
