Week Of October 9 ECC Athletes Of The Week
Each week throughout the school year, we’ll feature the student athletes nominated by their coaches as Eastern Cincinnati Conference Athletes of the Week. Congratulations to each award recipient!
Lilly Braun
Junior, Milford Cross Country
In her second varsity season, Lilly continues to be a strong contributor to the team on the course and off. She was an important part in helping the team to a first-place finish on Saturday.
Kelsey McKenney
Senior, Milford Volleyball
Kelsey hit 0.588 on 21 kills with seven blocks in two matches. Way to go Kelsey!
Mason Cooper, Tofa Luani, Toto Luani, Nathan Webster
Milford Football
Milford's huge ECC win over Winton Woods had many key performances, but those by Mason Cooper, Tofa and Toto Luani, and Nathan Webster rose to the top. In a pressure-packed situation, Mason, a junior kicker, connected on the only points of the night, a game-winning 22-yard field goal with just over two minutes to play. Tofa, a senior linebacker, had 1.5 sacks, including a forced fumble on a strip, along with eight total tackles and a quarterback hurry. Toto, a senior defensive back, led all Milford players with 10 tackles, including 1.5 for loss. Nathan, a senior running back, grinded out 98 yards on 22 carries against the ECC's top-ranked defense, the most by an opposing back against Winton Woods this season.
Peyton Smith
Senior, Milford Soccer
Peyton scored six goals this week against three tough teams. She scored two against West Clermont, two against defending state champs Seton, and two against Fairfield. She has become the player to watch and watch out for if you're our opponent.
